You guessed it – no spots to put up your tent at OUR Camping! However, we do offer a 100% mosquito free experience. Confused? Don't be. We are simply a bar with indoor minigolf lanes. But wait there’s more! Beyond a fine selection of craft beers, slurp worthy slushies and delicious cocktails, we also offer delicious burgers from Cocks & Cows served with our signature twister fries and Cocks mayo. Looking for a light bite, we also have popcorn, chips, and hot snacks such as chicken wings, onion rings and chili cheese balls. In the Camping calendar you’ll find regular events in each of our locations. In the past we hosted a Silent Disco, Naked Minigolf, Traffic Light Party, Speed Dating event, Family days, Minimal Festival, July Day in December, Music Bingo and more… In 2023 you can look forward to Tournaments or Sleepovers for starters. Stay tuned for more!

What exactly is Camping? Camping was first conceived by a Norwegian European Silver Medalist in minigolf. With 5 locations in Norway, the golf ball crossed boarders and travelled to Denmark in 2020. Currently you can find Camping in Copenhagen and Aarhus. It is a perfect place for your group to come enjoy a birthday, a bachelorette, team building, Friday bar or just a regular night out. It is a perfect place for dates– when minigolf turns it into something fun and unexpected and leaves no opportunity for awkward silences. Anyone can play minigolf, and we are an inclusive environment for all and welcome families, students, local businesses and those visiting Copenhagen and Aarhus from abroad.

Bye, bye mosquitoes!

Now, a little bit more about history of Camping… After seeing the success of minigolf bars in New York and London, Camping created their own recipe. In January 2016, they came upon a fitting venue in the centre of Oslo, Norway and eight months later, they were open to the public and tremendously well received. Their passion has driven them to re-imagine the use of minigolf and its setting. Long gone are the downtrodden campsites with mouldy lanes and tired clientele. It’s now a year round activity. A laid-back meeting place where people of all ages get together to have a good time. And no mosquitoes.

The lanes

Our minigolf lanes are designed by Anders Gudmundstuen, a Norwegian minigolf champion – and co-founder of CAMPING. The lanes are an updated version of the classic camping minigolf, with premium artificial grass and layout carefully designed and adapted to each venue. Our lanes focus on playability, it should be up to the player and her/his skills to ace the lane. And an ace should be satisfying! Therefore we emphasize size, design and materials. Also, we have an ambition that every stroke should move you forward and try to avoid designing lanes or obstacles that get you stuck. The number of lanes varies between 9 and 18.

History of minigolf

Minigolf can be traced back to 1827 in Scotland, but it was during the Depression in the 1930s that minigolf really took off as an affordable entertainment offer. Minigolf came to Norway in the 1970s and The Norwegian Minigolf Association was founded in 1985. The sport was so popular at the time that the golf association was rejected when they asked to become part of The Minigolf Association. In 1991 the first ever World Cup was held in Oslo – and broadcast on national television. Every year, the World Cup, European League and National Championships are played. Active minigolf players use only one club and many different balls – and prefer to change the ball from hole to hole, as different lanes require balls with different characteristics. The CAMPING minigolf though, is developed to be fun and challenging using only one ball. And with the right aim and pace, you should be able to ace most lanes. Are you up for the challenge?
